Admissions
Children are admitted to Golden Poppy year round if space permits.  The first step is to
contact the school to arrange for an interview and tour.  Normally, we schedule tours

Monday through Friday between 9:30am and Noon.  If needed, contact Jeanine to see if
another time is
possible.  You are welcome to bring your child on your tour, but some
parents prefer to visit alone the first time so they can concentrate on the information
shared without distraction.  
Once you've elected to attend Golden Poppy, you will  be given a packet of forms which
includes a health history and inoculation record
to be signed by your pediatrician.  Various
other forms give us the necessary information we will need to both know your child better
and safely care for your child.  There is a non-refundable registration fee of $45.00
($80.00 if siblings are enrolled) which must accompany your application.  A final step of
the application process is to schedule several "visits" to the classroom which helps your
child feel more comfortable in their new environment.

If we do not have space available for your child when you want to start, you may elect to
go on our "wait list" for future openings which might occur.  There is a $40.00 fee to be
placed on our wait list.  If an opening occurs, you will be contacted according to your
placement on the list for that particular classroom.  If you decide not to enroll when
called, you may also elect to remain on the list and be moved to the bottom of the list for
future openings.

If you require enrollment for a date several months in the future, and we know we have
an opening, you will be asked to submit a deposit equal to one half of your first month's
tuition.  This deposit guarantees enrollment and secures a spot, but it is also
non-refundable in case you change your mind.  Once here, the deposit amount is
deducted form your first month's tuition.
